Lancaster University and creative agency Factored commissioned me to help them create a bank of new photography focusing on marketing Lancaster as a destination city for their potential future students.
Despite the enviable reputation that the University already boasts, its city home can be overlooked when compared with some of the other more well-known and bigger north-west university cities like Manchester, York or Liverpool. They wanted authentic lifestyle photography showing students enjoying the city, the heritage locations and the unique and independent shops, cafés and landmarks.
The first day concentrated on location and city photography with our student models in everyday situations and some of the Lancaster landmarks as backdrop. And then for the next day we were able to capture more natural and authentic photography of the students eating, drinking, studying and shopping in and around some of Lancaster’s finest independent venues. Looking forward to seeing how the Uni employ these images in their marketing materials, but for now here are a few highlights from across the two days.
