Manchester Northern Quarter and Ancoats - Placemaking and Local Area Photography
Architecture + lifestyle + street + exteriors + urban landscape photography to feed into a marketing campaign for a new development of houses and apartments.
Another commission for a property developer client outlining a requirement for photography of the Northern Quarter and Ancoats areas of Manchester City Centre. They wanted to showcase both the immediate and wider areas to demonstrate as many of the fantastic amenities close to the development and all that this corner of Manchester has to offer.
With a target audience of young professionals in mind, the brief asked for lots of footfall where possible, showing the area at its busiest. They also wanted to cover as many of the great hospitality and leisure brands as possible, with a spotlight on some of the key businesses.
As with previous jobs I tackled this one with numerous visits to the area at various times of day. I wanted to catch the lunchtime footfall around Cutting Room Square in Ancoats as well as in some of the green spaces around the area and also some of the evening energy that starts to build as the sun goes down.
